Growing Ornamental Gourds

Growing Ornamental Gourds Ornamentals are just as easy to grow as zucchinis. Ornamental seed look like summer squash seed although different kinds can have different size seeds. They germinate well without soaking. Ornamentals mature in about 90 days from planting, so count backwards from when you want them to choose a planting time. In the Carolina Piedmont, a late April to early May planting will produce a crop by Independence Day, and you can celebrate by planting more for fall harvest. Plant hills about 4 feet apart in rows four feet apart. Plant three seeds to the hill, about half an inch deep. Thin to two. If you are planting from a pack marked "mixed," leave seedlings of various sizes. Different sizes often show different kinds.Growers rarely trellis ornamentals. Because they are small and light, there is no need to keep them from settling into the soil. Fertilizing ornamentals sparks little controversy. Work about a quarter cup of 10-10-10 in a ring around the

Reality v Imagination

It is hard to tell the differences between these two subjects (or concepts) sometimes. When I am alone, I could imagine all the situations with things and people that are remote from me. All those imagined situations do not really exist at the moment when they were created in my mind (or in my brain). In that sense, all those imagined situations are not reality b/c they do not really exist. But those imagined situations lead to certain emotions which could dictate how I feel about those things and people. For instance, there were envious feelings coming up when C. told me about most of her asian friends are all pairing up. Yet, I am alone and feeling a bit envious. In this scenario, all the negative feelings are result of negative imagination. They are not reality at all.

On Concentration at work

I couldn't help finding myself constant surfing the web for no purpose. I am not aware of it initially and then I start to realize that I am wasting my time. This has been a habit at work lately. It goes through phases. Sometimes, I am not interested., but sometimes, I can't help but keep clicking away. Ultimately, it has something to do with the level of my interest with the current work assignment. I should always ask myself what keeps me in the flow. Yes, what keeps me in the flow? Pehaps, having a clean organized desk will help. Perhaps, having a short work break and walk around will help. I would definitely rather do something constructive than surfing with fantasy that leads to dissaitsifaction, fatigue, and sore eyes...
